  1. Anthony and Allison,
We are so sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. Kevin was one of the good guys who did a lot of projects at our home. Our children loved him and we even would let the kids stay with Kevin if we needed to run an errand. He adored you two and never was there a conversation that he wasn’t talking about you and your accomplishments, be it big or small, he was your biggest fan. Treasure the memories you have and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

  3. To a mentor, fatherly figured inspiration towards my life, I’m gonna miss ya ‘hunter K’ as is sometimes call him. Such a sudden, unexpected tragedy to most in which we were all devastated. Shows us life is too damn short and tomorrow is not guaranteed for each and every one of us so reach out and tell a loved one that you love them today. PS hey crocodile Dundee what you hunting this weekend. LOL that was what I used to say to him every time he’d go hunting. Love the A.Steinbrook family and kids.

  4. Anthony, I’m so sorry to hear about your dad’s sudden passing. I feel fortunate that I had the chance to meet him at the NASCAR races over the past few years. I always enjoyed his company and our conversations, he was genuinely a pleasure to be around. I’m thinking of you and your family during this incredibly difficult time.

  5. What can be said. He was one of the hardest working, hardest playing, most caring and honest men I’ve ever known. He was my dad’s best and most enduring friend since they were kids in the old neighborhood. I’m so grateful for all the time I got to know him and spend with him through the years. Whether it was hunting in Hannibal, going to the races in Indy as well as the dirt tracks here or talking over the fence when they lived next to us on Phillips. Oh the stories I have! A lot that I witnessed happen myself and TONS of “back in the day” stories dad and him would tell me when we were together. And thanks to him, I got to know his kids and the rest of the Sunshine family. The last time I saw him was a few months back and I sat at his house for about 4 hours playing cards, drinking some beers and watching Nascar. In other words a perfect evening with Kevin Sunshine lol. And LAUGHING. The laughing is what I’ll remember the most. I’ll miss him very much.

  6. Kevin made this world a better place just by being here. His kindness was so sweet and his goodness just radiated from his heart. He loved his kids like every father should and those grandbabies were joy. I have had Kevin in my life for 40 years and it makes me proud to have known him.
