Cheryl Lynn Sutton, 65 – a loving wife, amazing mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and cherished nana – passed away surrounded by loved ones in the early morning hours on November 4th, 2025.
Born August 14th, 1960, in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Leona Delf and the late Louis Delf.
Cheryl was the devoted wife of Kevin Sutton, with whom she shared 35 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and endless support. Throughout her short, but courageous battle with lung cancer, Kevin’s steadfast presence was a true reflection of their deep bond and loving partnership. His tireless care will forever stand as a testament to the depth of their love and the extraordinary man he is.
A proud and loving mother, Cheryl dedicated her life to her two daughters (Jenn & Heather). Always providing support, unconditional love, celebrating their accomplishments, and encouraging them to chase their dreams. Her kindness, patience, and gentle guidance shaped not only their lives, but also the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know her.
Cheryl touched countless hearts through her in-home daycare, where she cared for and nurtured so many children over the years. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and love – a place where every child was made to feel special and safe.
Cheryl was the heart and soul of her family. However, above all, Cheryl’s heart belonged to her four cherished grandchildren – Brody, Rhett, Rylee, and Easton – who all adored her and loved her endlessly. She took great pride in being a “Nana” and her grandchildren were the light of her life. Spoiling her grandchildren was by far one of her favorite things to do. She truly was the best nana a child could ever have – loving, playful, and always there with open arms, a big smile and a heart full of love!
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Sutton; her 2 beloved daughters, Jennifer (Kimberly) Delf and Heather (Justin) Sides; her mother Leona Delf; her sister Christine Delf; her brother Randy (Tracie) Delf; her nieces Casey and Jessica Oppenheim and their children Cameron Howard and Chloe Brent, who also held a very special place in her heart; and her 4 adored grandchildren, Brody, Rhett, Rylee, and Easton.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Delf, grandparents Ethel and Garret Blankenship, and her aunt, Marie Delf.
Cheryl will be missed deeply by her family and all who were blessed to know her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and care will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Her presence on earth may be gone, but will forever be felt by her family, friends, and the many children and families whose lives she touched throughout the years.
