Svoboda, Doris L.

Svoboda, Doris Lorine 12/4/1924 – 10/29/2022 was born in St. Louis, MO to Lorine and Ralph Bentzinger.  Doris was married to her childhood sweetheart Donal Edward Svoboda for 73 years.  Doris raised her family in St. Louis and spent over 50 years volunteering, including for Bethesda Health Group, for which she was honored with the Norwood Award in 2006.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, in-laws and daughter Dian McAllister.  Doris’ daughter Dana (Kent) Guthrie survive as well as her brother Jack (Norma) and her nephews Jay and David and their families.  Doris and Don spent and enjoyed many years with family and friends at the Willows in Chesterfield, MO. The family would like to thank the staff at Brooking Park for the attentive and thoughtful care Doris received in her final years.

Private Interment at Sunset Cemetery.  Services handled by KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL.

  3. Dana, I was so shocked to see your Mom’s death notice Sunday. Don and I have wondered how she was as I could get no information from the nursing home I had visited when she first moved from the
