Swantner, Jayne L. (nee Walter), asleep in Jesus, November 24, 2016.

Jayne was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, the late Albert J. Swantner. She is survived by her four children, Sandra Jones, Randy (Mary) Swantner, Rick Swantner and Victoria (Tony) Bommarito. She had two granddaughters, Maria (Dan) Henke and Stephanie Swantner and was the proud great-grandmother to Ty and Sophia Jayne Henke.

Our mother dedicated her life to fund raising and volunteering for various organizations. Her main passion was the South County YMCA. As one of the founding families of the South County Y she organized many fund raising events; her longest project was their craft show she ran for over 25 years. She was a member of the Y board for many years and served as Chairman. She was Chairman of the Board for Oakland House in Affton and was awarded the Citizen of the Year Award from Sunset Hills. She also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society.

Our mother had many friends who were very dear to her, especially Tracy, who was like her third daughter. She will be truly missed by her family, friends and community.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Thursday, December 1, 10:00 a.m. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 p.m.
