  2. I met Carroll at the Westgate Casino in Las Vegas about 15 years ago with his friend Jim. Carroll liked to play the first inning on baseball but he never bet a lot of money on sports. He liked Texas Hold’m and played for free with the seniors at the Community Center on Eastern Ave in Las Vegas. He was a very good poker player. He had a lot of talent when he owned a bar in St. Louis and especially fixing the most sophisticated jet planes in America. I loved listening to his stories about traveling in America and his recent trip to a tour to Central America and the Panama Canal. Also about him as a child and picking cotton to make some money for his mom before cotton machines were invented. A week before he passed I saw him with his daughter Angie at a rehabilitation facility. After Angie flew back to St. Louis I joined his close friends Kent, Stan, and Anthony to the Rehabilitation center. I thought he was getting better and was happy we were there. We were all glad to see him. I liked his sense of humor. Like me he was a Veteran in the reserves for six years and he
loved America. I will miss Carroll. He was my friend. May God be with him with
the Saints and Angels. With Sympathy, Michael David Wojcio- Las Vegas
