In Loving Memory

Theresa Elizabeth “Betty” Anstead, (née Glancy)

 

passed away in her sleep, on March 17, 2017.  Elizabeth was born on Dec. 27, 1927 in Gallitizin, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Vincent and Harriet H. “Hattie” (Murphy) Glancy, her beloved husband, Howard Joseph Anstead and her oldest sister, Virginia (Walter “Bucky” – deceased) Buck.  Surviving are 3 sisters, Marjorie (Edward – deceased) Brannan, Dolores (Robert) Sylvester and Romaine (Joseph) Boley.  Also surviving are Elizabeth and Howard’s 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren:  Son Gregory & Susan (Olson) and their two daughters Stephanie (Timothy) Lambert and Stacie (Dr. Robert) Fechner;  son Wayne & Edith (McDevitt) and their three sons Brian, Benjamin and Patrick Anstead;  son Kevin & Julie (Honnen) and their two daughters, Amy (Michael) and grandson Jacob Krakauskas and Ashley Anstead; son Douglas & Lesia (Snider), and their daughter Jennifer (Charles) and granddaughter Olivia Hostetler and son Michael Anstead; and daughter Jeanine and Michael and her sons Vaughn, Alex, and Clayton Hayes.

Visitation will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (Cottleville, MO) on Tuesday March 21, from 10:30am until Mass time 11:00am.  Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions or prayer requests may be made to the Holy Adoration Sisters, (the “Pink Sisters”) at:

Mount Grace Convent.
