Frank Theves Sr., born August 15, 1932 in St. Louis, MO passed away on July 28, 2018. Mr. Theves resided in O’Fallon, Illinois at the time of his passing, formerly resided in Florissant, Missouri.
Mr. Theves was an engineer at Burlington-Northern railroad from which he retired after 25 years. He attended Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in O’Fallon, IL and maintained his membership at Old Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Louis, MO.
He served his country during the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant with the First Calvary Division. While in the Army, he received many Service Bars and Awards.
Mr. Theves was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Bender-Theves of 30 years, his parents Joseph Theves and Teresa Gaal-Theves and sister Ella Theves-Morse and brother-in-law Jim Morse.
He is survived by his daughter Sharon Theves-Vierling and husband Bill, daughter Diana Theves-Bass and husband Kurt, Frank Theves Jr and wife Lisa, daughter Robin Theves-Peters and husband Will. His fiancée Barbara Edgar and her family Robert (Sue) and Keith (KittyJo). He was the grandfather of 11, great-grandfather of 23 and great-great grandfather of 5.
Visitation to be held at Kutis Funeral Home located at Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois St. Louis, MO 63123 on Wednesday August 1, 2018 from 8:00 AM-9:00 AM, Services immediately following. Interment J.B National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, plants or donations to Wounded Warriors.
