Ardella “Sug” Thompson (nee Buscher) born August 22nd, 1931 died peacefully on March 11th, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Thompson. She is survived by her daughters, Lynne (Rick) Weis, Beth Vassalli, and Joan Thompson-Mueller. Dear grandmother of Eric (Stephanie Nigus) Weis, Steve (Dr. Katrina Heiss) Weis, Gregory Weis, Laura (Andrew) Ingold, Nathan Mueller, Zachary (fiance Jessica Oberrieder) Mueller, and Abby (Matt) Cool. Great grandmother of Winston Weis-Nigus. Survived by her sister, Sr. Elizabeth Ann Buscher. Our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dolan Memory care for their many years of service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Pet Rescue Network or Care Partners at Callais Manor Dolan Memory Care.

SERVICES: Visitation will be on Monday, March 18th at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (7622 Sutherland Ave 63119) at 9:00 AM, until the Funeral Mass begins at 10:00 AM. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

  1. It saddens me that Sug is no longer with us. I remember her sweet demeanor as Grandma to Lynne & Rick’s and Joan’s children. Her grandchildren gave her such delight. When we had family events with Lynne’s family, I remember her chuckle. Sug had a smile and a kind word for everyone. As I observed her as a grandmother, it was obvious that she was a very devoted and loving mother to her daughters. We were blessed to have Sug in our extended family. To Lynne, Beth & Joan, I pray that thoughts of recent years fade into memories of your joyful times with your mother. I know she would want that for you because she loved you so much.
