  7. Aunt Laverne was such a sweet, dear and loving person. She will be missed. I loved hearing from my mom all the stories of them growing up in Old Mines! She is back home with her now. Prayers to the family for comfort.

  9. Dear family: LaVerne was our dear friend and next door neighbor for the 21 years we have lived here on Samarra. I had the honor of bringing LaVerne Holy Communion for the last several weeks. Thus we were able to know each other much better. My wife, Marge and LaVerne had many happy visits throughout these 21 years. LaVerne often said as you may have heard that she didn’t know why God was still keeping her around, at 95 and all. Now we know He was ready to welcome her home.
