Cousin Steve … Good memories when we were age four/five some 65 years ago. Time has come for you to take your seat, along with other past family members at the Trankle/Tillock table and add to their stories. Rest In Peace my cousin. CB
Thank you Craig. And so, so very true! How he will enjoy that!
Amen Craig.
-John (his son)
We are so sorry to hear about Steve’s passing. Sending prayers of peace, strength and healing for all of the Trankle family. No one could do justice to a pair of bib overalls like Steve could. We have many fond memories of our chats with Steve while dropping or picking our son Brian up from the Trankle house. Brian and John remained friends for years. Praying for you Chris and all of your children.
Thank You Marge and Sam! I remember very well those days of the back and forth between our houses for those boys! It’s hard to believe this much time has passed and they are now grown men. Thank you for your remembrances and thoughts.
Chris and Family:
We are so sorry to hear about Steve’s passing. We are heartbroken for you as you try to endure this loss. Joe always looked forward to the Friday evenings when he could make it down to the meetup in your driveway with Steve and some of the other neighbor “boys”. Steve is Joe’s friend and he will miss him more than words can express. Hang in there dear lady, you are in our thoughts. If you need anything, hollar (that’s what backyard neighbors are for).
Joe and Debbie, Thank you so much for your endearing thoughts about Steve and his passing. Yes I am heartbroken. I know Steve thought the world of Joe and always commented that “Joe was a good man” and admired him very much. Yes I too will miss those Friday night gatherings of the “boys” greatly. Thank you once again for your kind and comforting thoughts.
I’m so saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. My condolences to his wife, children and grandchildren. My siblings and I lived next door to the Trankles in the Baden neighborhood. We spent a lot of fun summers playing kickball, army, cowboy’s and Indians. Rest peacefully my friend.
Christina, Thank you for your thoughts and memories of growing up with Steve and his family. I am sure it was both fun and interesting! Thank you for your condolences.
We are greatly saddened about the loss of your husband, and the memories will always be remembered with him. He will be extremely missed and if you need anything we are here for you.

Diane, Thank your for your kind words of comfort. And yes I will be hanging on to the many memories we created as family. Steve jumped into being a father from the get to and it was a wild and crazy journey raising 5 children. I’m sure he had no idea of what he was getting into! My memories of him and life together are what is keeping me going at this time and I hope they continue to do so. Steve was a great guy for sure. I will miss him more than he will ever know. Thank you once again for your condolences.
My memories of Steve are all at family events. When all the girls got in their circle, Steve and I would gab. We spent many hours on every subject under God’s creation. Great guy. He will be missed.
