Trefts, Ronald Ivan In the Lord’s Care on Monday, February 20, 2023. Beloved husband of Grace M. Trefts (nee Fontana) for 66 years; dearest father of Kathy Lynn (Tom) Bell and the late Laura Ann Adams; loving grandfather of Ashley (Ricardo Cadena) Adams, Holly Adams and Josh Bell; dear brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
I want the world to know two more important things about my Grandpa, Ron Trefts. First, he instantly made every person he met feel so comfortable that they would talk for hours. He would always make friends anywhere we went. Second, is that he was always one of my biggest supporters of my life. He loved watching me do the things I loved and enjoyed listening to me talk about any detail of my life. I will miss our day trips to Chester, IL or just talking about what we were watching on television. I love you, Grandpa. Love, Holly.
Grandpa (Ron) was the most supportive, loving, and caring grandparent anyone could ever ask for. He was a family man, who was always there to support and care for his loved ones. The love he had for his family is unquestioned. He was a man who could light up a room finding humor in situations others couldn’t. He was a very creative and out of the box thinker and was always plotting jokes or inventions. He was an avid Cubs fan as well as a gardener and you rarely saw him without his Blue Cubbies jacket on. He will forever be missed by his family and was truly a one of a kind person.
Services: Memorial visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Saturday, March 4, from 2-5 p.m. Inurnment will be held on Saturday, May 13, 11 a.m. at Park Lawn Cemetery.
