Phyllis Jean Turner (Hiatt) Age 79, Passed away September 14, 2023. Phyllis is survived by sisters Ethel (Peach) Hutson, Shirley Orr and Patricia Hiatt, two sons James Turner (Rick), Ron Turner, daughter Shirley (Neal) Beshel, grandchildren Jennifer (Richard) Hatley, Megan Anderson, Nicholas (Helen) Beshel, Benjamin Beshel, Brad Beshel, Andrew (Sydney) Turner, Zachary Turner and great-grandchildren, Blaire and Arya Turner, Nora and Harper Beshel, Silas Anderson, sister-in-law Reva Turner, many nieces, nephews, cousins, long-time friend Anna Mae Dougherty as well as many other dear friends. She was preceded in death by loving husband Edward Turner, dear daughter Kimberly Turner, parents Frank and Edith Hiatt, brothers Frank Hiatt, Donald Hiatt, and Charlie Hiatt, sisters Edna (Sis) Sgroi, Laverne Brooks, and Florence (Duggie) Hiatt.
Phyllis loved nothing more than her family and friends and making people laugh wherever she went with her witty sense of humor. She never knew a stranger and made a beautiful, lasting impression on everyone she met. May she rest in peace, dancing in the arms of her one true love. Gone but never forgotten.
Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Monday, September 18, 4-7 p.m. with service at 6:30 p.m. Burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Thursday, September 21, at 2:15 p.m.
Donations are welcomed in lieu of flowers to the Arthritis Foundation.
I’m sorry for your loss. Phyllis was a wonderful woman. She will be sadly missed. I am sure she is with Ed now, the love of her life.
