In Loving Memory

Tvetene, Christopher Peter

Tvetene, Christopher Peter, age 55, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Dearest father of Rose and Grace Tvetene; dear brother of Jennifer (the late Patrick) Kramer and Amy Tvetene; beloved son of the late Ronald Tvetene and Mary Tvetene; our dear nephew, uncle, cousin and friend.

Chris graduated from East Mecklenburg high school in 1985 where he was, and still is, very well-known and admired among his classmates. He was on the football team, along with various other clubs. Chris went on to spend 30 years in masonry and ceramic sales where his friendliness and ability to remember everybody made him very successful in his career.

Chris was a Christian and a true patriot. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, food, 80’s rock music, spending time with his daughters, and traveling recently with his loving companion Teresa Weum. But above everything else, he loved to relax – or as he called it “chillax”.
Chris’s positive attitude and down-to-earth demeanor will be missed dearly, and we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and spending the rest of his days surrounded by light.

“Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” Luke 23:43

Services: Visitation will be held at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, 4900 Ringer Road St. Louis, MO 63129 on Monday, December 27th from 10:00 am – 11:00am with the funeral mass beginning at 11:00 am. A reception will immediately follow at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque’s Parish Center.

For those who would like to attend virtually: St. Margaret Mary Alacoque will be streaming the mass live. To join, please click on this link at 11:00 am CST https://smmaparish.org/mass-live-feeds/

  7. Chris was a wonderful friend and even though it has been many years since we last saw each other, when we did get together it was as if only a day or two had passed. Ever since his High School days he had the rare gift to make you feel warmth & appreciated…that u mattered as a person & was interested in your life. He was genuine in that regard of wanting & providing relationship with people. The world has lost a great man & friend to all. God bless & comfort his family during this difficult time.

You were always Landmarks biggest cheerleader you were kind humble and light hearted. Our team won’t be the same without you, but I know will you continue cheering us on from above. You are and will forever be with your friends and family… I pray that your family finds peace in this next phase. My condolences and love goes out to all your loved ones. We will miss you !

  17. Chris’ early and sudden departure will leave a permanent hole in our life.
He was a genuine and humble person. I had the chance to meet him and travel with him in the last 4 years. I enjoyed his friendship and I will keep in my hearth the truly nice moments we spent together.
During long car trips across the Midwest, we exchanged stories about our life and families, besides work related discussions. Chris’ nice personality made every moment pleasurable. I will miss you.
Chris was always mentioning his beloved daughters and was proud of their goals in life.
I am so sorry and almost cannot believe he will no longer be around us. You left too early Chris ….., may you rest in peace in the Grace of God.
My deepest condolences to all his Family.

  31. Chris and I met in Kansas City around 1993-1995 and immediately connected on many levels. We both had a Springfield Catholic connection and had many common friends. Those were the best of times; work hard… play harder. But I really got to know Chris when I had the pleasure of being a guest of Chris’s on a pheasant hunt with his father…an experience I’ll never forget. Chris was a genuinely good person, he loved life, and successfully made those around him love it equally. I will always remember Chris for his humor, his constant smile, and the laughter we shared many, many times in those fun-filled days in Kansas City.

  37. Still cannot believe it. Chris and I worked together for three years and he was always so positive and full of energy. He would call me to ask a simple question and a two minute call would end up being a 20 minute call without us realizing it. He will be missed at Landmark.

Often he would talk about his daughters and anyone could tell how proud he was of them. My thoughts and prayers go to his family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Although he hardly knew anyone there, he effortlessly connected with everyone and was a joy to be around. He was so authentic and present in the moment, which I admired greatly. Our condolences to all the family and friends of Chris. He will be missed.

  45. Chris and I have hit the road together numerous times, the last ones just few weeks ago. Every conversation between us always started with talking about work and ended up discussing random topics and laughing together. He really cared about the people around him, the team and the customers that he was working with. Last year in Louisville, he made me a surprise with a bottle of bourbon for my birthday, totally unexpected but so appreciated! This is the type of person that I will carry the memory of.

  47. I am at a loss for words at the passing of Chris. Mike Cravener just told me yesterday and have been in shock since. I was blessed with the opportunity to help Chris find a home in Jasper. From the first showing until we closed on his home, each encounter was full of conversation and laughter. I don’t think he knew a stranger even in a new town. He often mentioned his family, and it was obvious what his family meant to him. I would also just like to add that Chris seemed so happy with his move to Jasper, and I was so happy for him. He really did touch my life in the short time I knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Of course always ups and downs! Me personally always tried to find and stay close to my cousins. And I did! I went to see amy way back when she lived in that crazy place san Francisco. She took me to a show. Omg! A guy in a yellow polo sweatshirt on a subway on Halloween heading to the Fillmore theater fo a talking heads concert. Should turn some heads! I remember when amy picked me up. A night or two. Before the show. She drove me to the big park. In san Francisco. And said! Look cuz! There is buffalo roaming! I’m from Minnesota and this is strange. Any way! That’s just one of my story’s about this beautiful family I was blessed that I was able to share so many of my years with. God bless Rose and Grace.

He was always fun to be with and he instilled confidence with his product knowledge and enthusiasm in various types of presentations he did with us. He and I further connected when I learned he’d been a ‘brick guy’ at Richards.
I’m sure he’s smiling down on us from a better place. Condolences to Chris’s family, his friends and all of us who will miss him.
