Umlah, Frederick J. “Fred” Baptized into the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection on Sunday May 24, 2026.Beloved husband for 44 years of Jane Umlah (nee Izard); loving father of Melissa (Joseph) Mareschal and Amanda (Jesse) Umlah, dearest “‘Pa Pa” of Ashley and Valerie. He is survived by his brother Joseph (Rae Ann) Umlah and nephew Jason (Michele) Umlah and great niece and great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Joseph and Frances Umlah and sister, Mary Ann Umlah DeRemer.
He enjoyed being an amateur weather forecaster. We always knew when bad storms were coming.
Above all family was most important to him. He really loved sharing his lifelong passion for the Yankees and New York Giants with his daughters. He was very proud of both of his daughters and treasured every moment with his granddaughters. He thought the world of his casino “family’.

Services: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois, Friday May 29th, 10:00 AM. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4:00-8:00 PM.

We are so sorry to hear of Fred’s passing. We knew him from the casino and always appreciated our conversations and banter. Keeping his family in our thoughts and prayers.
