Steven Michael Utt, 63, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 19, 2024 at his home. Born on April 7, 1961, “Stainless Steve” was known for his impeccable reliability and unique character. Throughout his life, he was a knowledgeable mentor and a dependable friend to many.
Steve is survived by a loving family: sons, James (Denvr) Utt and Brian (Caylee) Utt; six grandchildren, Audrey, Ayden, Aydree, Rhett, Deacon, and Jayce Utt; brother, Wayne (Carole) Utt; sister, Deborah (Dave) Barnes, Sr.; nephews, Dave (Christina) Barnes, Jr., and Doug Barnes, Jason Toenyes; niece, Holly West; girlfriend, Tarri Zehnle; two stepchildren, Brittani (Zach) Tebeau and Dan (Jessica) Brown; former wife, Tammy Utt and many great nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Geraldine (Schroeder) Utt and daughter, Samantha Popham.
An avid outdoorsman, Steve relished his time fishing, hunting, and welding, hobbies that reflected his passion for both nature and craftsmanship. Steve’s life will be celebrated and remembered by his family and the many lives he touched.
Services to honor Steve will be held at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., on Monday, September 23, Visitation from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Services conclude at funeral home.
