Valenti (nee Cassidy); dear father of Ann (Fred Jr.) Bueler, Joan (Dave) Goggin and the late Tom (surviving Carla) Valenti; dear grandfather of Jennifer (David) Visintine, Lynne (John) Vaninger, Freddie (Joelle) Bueler III, Jenna Valenti and Michael Valenti; dear great-grandfather of Sam and Anna Visintine, Luella and Mabel Vaninger, Freddie IV, Lincoln and Jackson Bueler; dear son of the late Louis and Frances Valenti; dear nephew and son by desire of Irvin Sr. and Ester Kappler; dear brother of Gene (Judy) Kappler and the late Louis (surviving Jane) Valenti, Warren (Mae) Valenti, Marion (Dave) Ryan and Irvin (surviving Linda) Kappler Jr.; our dear uncle, cousin and friend.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Tuesday, May 3, 9:45 a.m. to Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred. Visitation Monday, 4-8 p.m.

    What a friend Don was to Joe; forever it seemed, and I appreciated his staying in touch too, after Joe died. Everyone should be so fortunate, to have a friend like him. The world would be a better place if he could be cloned. He was the most optimistic guy I’ve ever known; such a pleasure to be around.

    Don never stopped praising the three of you. He so appreciated your care and concern. I know you’ll miss him, as will all his friends. You had him for a long time, but it’s never quite enough, is it?
