Voss, Robert J., Sr.

September 5, 1937 – November 14, 2021

Robert J. Voss, 84 of Wentzville, Mo, passed away from a long- term illness on November 14, 2021. Born September 5,1937 in St Louis, Mo, he was the son of Walter R. Voss and Julia C. Voss (nee Lorch). He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Barbara J. Voss (nee Tapella).

Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandad, brother, brother- in – law, uncle and cousin.  He served his country in the Air Force reserves and then re-enlisted in active duty as a Staff Sergeant. He received a Bachelors Degree from St Louis University Parks College. He worked as an aircraft mechanic for Ozark Airlines, TWA and American Airlines volunteering as the Union safety steward before retiring after 33 years. He was active in the Ozark Airlines Alumni Association and the TWA Club.

Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara Voss, his daughter Michelle Waak and her husband John, his daughter Jeannie Seabaugh and her husband Van, his son Robert Voss Jr. and his wife Rebecca, his grandchildren Madeline Kruljac, Evan Seabaugh, Mikai Voss, Clayton Mitchell, Ava Waak, Sophia Voss, Norah Mitchell, Christian Waak, and Dawson Mitchell. He is also survived by siblings Virginia Knoff, Salle Lesmeister and Donald Voss.

Funeral services will be held at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Rd, St Louis, Mo 63123.  Visitation will be Friday, November 19 from 4 pm-8 pm. Funeral will be Saturday, November 20 at 9:30 am.  Interment with full military honors will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Affton Mo.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evelyn’s House, Creve Coeur www.bjchospice.org/Evelyns-House.
