Cynthia Diane Simpson, known to many as Diane, passed away on August 26, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on November 19, 1957, in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Charles Simpson, and by her brother, Ricky Simpson.
She is remembered by her two children, Patrick Koch and Regina Klingeman. Regina and her husband, Michael Klingeman, have three children: Megan, Marissa, and Michael. Patrick has two daughters, Amber Fountaine and Alexis Hawks. Amber and her husband, Andy Fountaine, have two daughters, Josephine and Vivian. Alexis and her husband, Cody Hawks, are the parents of a son, Caden, and are expecting another child later this year.
Her life was rooted in the simple things that brought her joy, especially the beauty of nature and the presence of animals. In those ways, and in the family who carry her memory forward, Diane’s life continues to be remembered with love and gratitude.
