Sandy Wahby (nee Adkins), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on April 16 surrounded by her loving family.
Sandy is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Ralph Wahby, who stood by her side through life’s joys and challenges. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth in her children: son David and his wife Kathleen, son Brian and his wife Robbyn, daughter Melissa Webb and her husband Jack, and daughter Nicole Meadows and her husband Chuck.
As a nurturing Tita, Sandy adored and was adored by her grandchildren: Jacqueline Rose (CJ), Anthony Wahby (Marissa), Berrick Wahby, Astin Webb (Mickayla Horn), Alex Meadows, William Meadows, Luke Wahby, Delia Wahby, Manny Meadows and Jacob Meadows. Her legacy has continued with three great-grandchildren: Greyson, Landon and Olivia. Their lives were enriched by her boundless affection and unwavering support.
Sandy will be fondly remembered for her role as the heart of the family, spreading love and kindness wherever she went. Her home was always filled with laughter and delicious aromas from her kitchen, where she lovingly prepared meals for her loved ones.
Among her many roles, Sandy was renowned for her culinary talents, particularly for her famous Kibbee footballs, which brought joy to many at St. Raymond. Her dedication to the Kibbee crew will be cherished and deeply missed.
Though Sandy’s physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
In honoring Sandy’s memory, let us celebrate her life and the profound impact she had on those around her. May her legacy of love and compassion serve as a guiding light for generations to come.
On Friday, April 26 the family will receive visitors beginning at 9 am at St Raymond Maronite Catholic Cathedral with a Divine Liturgy to honor Sandy’s life at 10 and celebration of life immediately following at the Cedars .
