Wampler, Sr., Darrell Ray

April 27, 1935 - January 11, 2025

Darrell Ray Wampler, Sr., Age 89 passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at his residence in House Springs. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Arnold. He was also a retiree of American Can Company after 40 years of service and then worked 11 years delivering auto parts. Beloved husband of the late Margene Wampler (nee Hudnall). Survived by his 3 sons: Keith McDaniel of Arnold, Darrell Wampler Jr. of Fenton and Blaine Wampler of House Springs; 3 daughters: Tina DeNatale of Arnold, Debbie Bowers of O’Fallon and Tammy Wampler of Columbia, IL. ; 2 sisters: Dodie Jones and Myra Thomas. He was also a grandfather and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by 5 siblings, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

SERVICES:  Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Thursday, January 16 from 4-7PM.  Then to First Baptist Church of Arnold, 2012 Missouri State Road on Friday, January 17 for visitation 10AM until time of funeral at 11AM. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart.

  1. Your home was always so full of laughter and so much love. You are one of the kindest men I’ve ever known. Now you are with Margene and all the ones that past before you. I can just picture in my mind you and my dad laughing together. Rest well, Uncle John, yours was a life well served. You will be missed.
