We are saddened to announce the passing of Krystal Wein, 35, of St. Louis, Missouri, on May 15, 2026. Krystal was born on March 6, 1991, to Scott Wein and Angela Triplett.
From the moment she entered the world, Krystal was a force to be reckoned with. As she grew up, she became known for her confident, outgoing, and spirited personality, which earned her the nickname “Spaz.” She graduated from Windsor High School in 2009 and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Krystal lived a vibrant life and fought hard against addiction. Although this struggle brought hardship and challenges, it also revealed her resilience, her determination to heal, and her deep love for her family. We are proud of the time she spent in recovery and of the many lives she touched through her encouragement and support. She became an advocate for others in recovery, helping build services and programs through her work as secretary of her Oxford House and as a member of their Women’s Housing Services Committee at both the state and chapter levels.
Krystal is survived by her parents, Scott Wein and Angela (Tom) Triplett; her grandparents, William and Charlene Blumm, and Vickie Triplett; her sisters, Kourtney (Jake) Jensen and Samantha Triplett; her children, Azaria Sabella, Logan Sabella, Samuel Triplett (adopted by Angela & Tom Triplett); and her beloved dog, Toby. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth and Carol Wein, and Loyd Triplett; and Mike Sabella (father of Logan, Azaria, and Samuel).
Services: A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, from 11:30am until time of memorial service at 1:30pm at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63129. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to attend, share memories, and celebrate her courage, compassion, and love for others. We will gather to honor the person we loved and to remember the good times we shared.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be collecting donations for Oxford House -Meramec. You may write a check or send a venmo to Angela Triplett at https://venmo.com/code?user_id=2887999738085376972&created=1779153582

I met Krystal shortly before Thanksgiving last year . As I grown to know her , I realized that she was one of the kindest, most generous, caring, and understanding person that anyone would have the privilege to know. And it was all authentic. Krystal was 100% genuine in everything that she did, and every word that she spoke. She will be truly missed .
