In Loving Memory

Weiss, Barbara L. “Bobby” (nee Stroup)

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Monday, January 22, 2018, at age 84.  Beloved  mother of Larry (Debbie) Weiss, Lois Weiss, Linda (Joe) Maloney, Lance (Leslie) Weiss and Lori (Cary) Schreiner; loving  grandmother of  Courtney (Tyler), Tara (Scott), Derek (Morgan),  Patrick  (Courtney), Daniel, Kelly, Conner, Kara, Katie and Jacob; adoring great-grandmother of Addison, Louisa and Avery; dear sister of Leo and the late Ella Mae, Austin, Jr., James and  Raymond;  former wife of the late Ed Weiss; our dearest sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Bobby was happiest spending time with her family.  She loved her kids and worked tirelessly in her younger years to ensure their success. Later, her grandkids gave her great joy.  She was a great Sunday dinner hostess for the whole family.  Her house was a gathering spot for holidays and family birthday dinners, frequently noisy and full of people.  She enjoyed her friends and all her years of worship and fellowship at Assumption Catholic Church. An avid fan, she especially enjoyed a successful Cardinals season.  She was kind to everyone, accepted many perspectives, and encouraged all to make the most of their life and be happy.  She was a caring friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Services:  Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd., on Thur., Jan. 25 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Catherine  Laboure for 10 a.m. Mass.  Interment at Resurrection  Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Vincent dePaul  Society PO Box 795039 St. Louis, Mo. 63179-0795,  appreciated.  Visitation Wed., 4-8 p.m.
