Mary Ellen (Lloyd) Weller passed away peacefully in St. Louis, MO at the age of 93. Mary was born in Orlando, FL on April 6, 1932, the last of 7 children to Ella and Perry Lloyd, and spent her early childhood during the Great Depression and World War II.
She met her husband Charles Grafton Weller Jr. “Graf” in Cocoa Beach, FL. They were married in Cocoa Beach on October 4, 1957, the date of the Russian Sputnik 1 satellite launch, and so began their 61-year journey and marriage!
Their union resulted in three children, Charles Grafton (Kay) Weller III, Mark Lloyd (Laura) Weller and Joy Lynn (Don) Thompson. As a life-long homemaker, Mary was very proud of the family she raised!
Mary was a fabulous cook, and the neighborhood kids would flock to her house whenever “Mrs. Weller” offered lunch or dinner!
She was very spiritual and shared her love of Jesus, her Lord and Savior!
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband Graf in May 2019, a grandson Matthew Weller, her son-in law Don Thompson, and all her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren Tori, Elizabeth, Jacob, Jillian and Molly Weller, Hannah (Jake) Allen, Amy (Aubrey Baudean III) Thompson, Sally Thompson, one great-granddaughter Susie Allen, and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Mary will be interred with her beloved husband Graf at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, in St. Louis, MO.
