Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024.

Beloved husband of Christine Whitley (nee Ottoline); devoted father of Laura (Eric) Rechtin, Katie (Brad) Mawer, and Julie (Jason) Caine; adoring grandfather of Katy Mae Mawer; loving brother of Tom (Glenda) Whitley, Bernard (Cheryl) Whitley, Rita (Art) Sander, Tina (Jim) Hatley, and the late Paul Whitley; dear brother-in-law of Alice (Joe) Powderly; our dear uncle, cousin, and friend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions made to Stray Rescue St. Louis or to Notre Dame Highschool are greatly appreciated.

SERVICES: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Friday, October 11th at 11:30 AM for 12:00 PM Mass at St. Gabriel the Archangel (6303 Nottingham Ave., 63109). Visitation on Thursday from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Kutis.

  3. I’m so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Mr. Whitley through the years. He was great guy with a heart of gold, and together the Whitley’s raised some pretty great daughters. I know he will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.

  7. I was in total shock when Cheryl told me of Jims passing. The entire family is in our prays as you navigate thru these times. What great times we had together will always be fondly remembered.
