Roy F. Wilde of Arnold MO died April 24, 2024 at the age of 96. He is the husband of the late Betty Thomas Wilde and Bernita Marquardt Wilde. Father of Steven (Glenda). Grandfather of Matthew (Judy), Sarah, and Nathan. Great grandfather to Brayden, Ella, Miriam, and Maebry. Stepfather of Thene (Roger) Sheehy, Melanie (Randy) Lohmeyer, and Lanette Marquardt. Step grandfather to Matthew and Justin Lohmeyer, and Jesse Theis.
Roy was a life long resident of Arnold MO and active in many Arnold Civic Affairs. He was a veteran of WWII and an employee of Ameren UE for 34 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 167, VFW Post 2593, and Arnold Masonic Lodge 673. He was also a cofounder of the Arnold Historical Society.

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Tuesday, April 30, 9:30 AM until service at 11:30 AM. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Memorials to the VFW Post 2593 or St Mark’s UCC Chuch of Arnold.

  1. I met Mr. Wilde 20 + years ago. I always considered him a friend. I enjoyed spending time with him or talking on the phone. He always had a positive outlook on everything! I always called him Mr. Wilde out of respect!

    years. I enjoyed listening to his stories. He will be greatly missed. Our condolences to the Wilde family.

    You will be missed. The time we sat along the river and talked for most of the hot August morning, I won’t soon forget. Thank you for being a great mentor.
