William J. Wilder, 89, of Saint Louis, MO passed away on August 9, 2023.  Bill was born on August 4, 1934 to Bernays and Margaret Wilder.  He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.

Bill grew up in Saint Louis with a large family of ten siblings:  Lawrence Wilder, Margaret Wilder, Bernard Wilder, Catherine Fullmer, Mary Ann Tarnoff, James Wilder, Eileen LeValley, Michael Wilder, Patrick Wilder, and Judith Salleng.

Bill served in the US Army in 1957.  He became a licensed plasterer in Saint Louis which kick started a 38+ year career as a bonded licensed general contractor in California.  He was a talented and accomplished contractor, and had a business with his brothers, Michael and James Wilder, and Lucas Mangana.  He retired in 1989 and returned home to Saint Louis.  Bill married Vilawan Wilder, of Thailand, in 1981 while living in California and is survived by her.

Bill was the father of six children: Debbie Osborne, Billy Wilder Jr., Bernie Wilder, Vicky Brennan, Jimmy Wilder, and Vanda Wilder.  He also had 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, on Monday, August 21 at 10:00 AM. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 4-8:00 PM.

Dam well grandpa I sure would have liked to known you better the last time I saw ya was when you introduced me to my step grandmother and we went to eat together I’d have like to known you better but still have memories of visiting in California and you always brought me and Dan silver dollars when ya came to visit at my mother’s Debbie
