Wildermuth, Cecelia O.

passed away peacefully on November 6, 2015 at the age of 103.

She was born to Theodore and Bertha Wildermuth (nee Beck), in Pinckneyville, Illinois on January 23, 1912. Cecelia moved to St. Louis in 1928.

Cecelia is survived by her sisters Irma Wagner and Lorraine Wildermuth. four nieces and  nephews, Kay (Bill) Knox, Kim (Jerry) Parsons, Roger (Judy) Wagner, and Glen (Becky) Wildermuth, seven great nieces and nephews, Barrett Knox, Cotie (Chris) Ruby, Jon (Jenna)  Parsons, Laura (Josh) Potts, Melissa Eddy, and Scott and Stephen  Wildermuth, and nine great-great nieces and nephews, Ashley  Campbell, Canon and Caris Ruby, Evan Potts, Jaron Berner, Sean Betts, Trey Fritsche, Gia Parsons, Jesse Barge, Gracie and Kaiden Smith, and many friends.

She owned and operated “Cecelia’s Beauty Shop” on Oak Hill for 50 years and valued her many customers. Cecelia enjoyed traveling to 48 of the 50 states including Hawaii, as well as Europe, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, and the Bahamas.

She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and appreciated music. She had beautiful penmanship. She was an 87-year member of Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church and considered obeying God and living in His word the most important things a person can do.

Cecelia’s kindness and great sense of humor will be missed by all.

Services: Funeral services at Kutis Funeral Home, Affton on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Visitation from 9:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of  flowers,  donations may be made to  Lutheran Hour Ministries.
