Loving wife for 65 years of the late John M. Windish; dear  mother of Robert (Sandy)  Windish, Susan (Claude) Garrett, Jack  Windish and  Jeanine  (Robert) Rainey; dear  grandmother of Kristine  Reifsteck, Katherine Willingham,  Michael and Robert  Windish, Christopher, Andrew, Matthew and John Garrett, Pamela  Windish, Jacqueline Crider,  Robert Windish, Suzanne and  Nicholas Riordan, and the late Daniel Riordan; great  grandmother of 18; she was preceded in death by parents  Michael and  Helen Tasch and siblings Joseph Tasch and Lucille Sanders.

Theresa was born in St. Louis, attended Holy Trinity School and was a proud alumna of St. Alphonsus “Rock” High School and Ms. Hickey’s. She and John were married December, 1944 and raised their children in North County after he returned from service in the Philippines during WWII.  She was devoted  to  volunteer work at St. Catherine of Alexandria, Rosary High School and Our Lady of Loretto where she was a quilter for over 40 years.  She took great pride in her handiwork, especially the quilts she made for all the babies in the family.  Working in her flower and vegetable gardens gave her years of satisfaction and pleasure.  She was known for her baking, preserving family  recipes (particularly Christmas cookies) handed down from her German mother and grandmother.  She had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Rosary.  In retirement, she and John delighted in traveling throughout the country and in  Europe with a special group of friends, and continued their  lifelong love of dancing especially to big band music.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd., Friday, June 23, 10:30 a.m. with Mass celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure 11:00 a.m.  Interment Jefferson  Barracks National Cemetery.  Memorials to Lt. Dan Riordan Scholarship Fund at Vianney High School, 1311 S. Kirkwood Rd., 63122 .  Visitation Thursday, 4-8 p.m.
