Carole J. Witzig (nee: Ecoppi, daughter of the late Fred and Louise Ecoppi), 88, October 23, 1935 – February 5, 2024.

Loving wife of 65 years to the late Joseph C. Witzig, Jr. (January 13, 2019).  Dear mother of John Witzig (Holly Foster), Donna (Jim) Kehlenbrink and Thomas Witzig. Beloved grandmother to Christopher (Kimberly) Kehlenbrink, Mary (Ryan) Blakemore, Katherine Kehlenbrink, Tommy (Samantha) Witzig and Joey (Danielle) Witzig.  Dear great-grandmother to Abram, Augustus, Louis, Adaline, Liam, Eli and Hadley.

Carole lived on The Hill, in St. Louis, Mo., attended St. Ambrose Catholic School and Rosati-Kain High School graduating in 1953. She worked at Lisle Ramsey, Inc. and Lucent Technologies.

She lived a life of immense generosity and compassion, countless hours of volunteering, loved to paint, decorate, look for seashells on Marco Island, playing cards with her friends, hosting family dinners and dominoes every Sunday.  She was the heart of the family who brought so much love, faith, laughter and beauty to everyone and in everything she touched. Family meant everything to her!

On February 12, 2024, she was laid to rest with her beloved husband Joseph C. Witzig, Jr. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetary.

Now she is joyfully singing with the great choir in Heaven!!!
