Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Tuesday January 16 2024.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Witzl; loving mother of Bob (Maria) WItzl, Judy (Jim) Childress and Gerry (Debbie) Witzl; dear sister-in-law of the late Harry and Dorothy Witzl; dear grandmother of 10, dear great grandmother of 12; dear aunt, cousin and friend.

Mrs. Witzl’s family would like to thank the staffs of Mary Queen and Mother Center and SSM Hospice for their loving care of Betty.

Services: Visitation at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church (10235 Ashbrook Dr. 63137) Friday January 19, 9:30 AM until funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorials to American Heart Association or Holy Name of Jesus Parish appreciated. A service of KUTIS AFFTON Chapel.

  1. Karen and I were so sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. We will always remember her bubbling personality and infectious laugh. I (Marty) will always remember the gatherings at her house. Our condolences and prayers are with the entire extended family.

  2. Judy, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I will pray for her and your family. I had a funeral mass for my mother at Holy Name of Jesus and buried her at Calvary, 7 years ago. Miss her every day.

  4. Bob, Judy, and Gerry, our entire Lanier, family sends sincere condolences on the death of your Mom. She was a beautiful, engaging and special person and she and Jeannette were true lifelong friends. As one of the family recently put it “you know there is a party in heaven today with the reunion of these loving friends.“ We are keeping you all in our hearts and prayers.

  5. Judy, Bob and Gerry,
    So sad to learn of the passing of your mom. She was such a joy and always enjoyed her referring to herself as our oldest cousin. We have so many wonderful memories of growing up together. Our mom’s were always so close which gave all of the cousins a special bond. She will be missed by so many. Praying for you to be comforted during this time.
