Baptized into the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection, entered into rest, Wednesday August 12, 2026. Beloved significant other of Janet Olliges-Swayne; loving son, father, father-in-law, papa, brother, uncle, great uncle, nephew, cousin, and dear friend.
Bud was a retired member of Ameren Missouri IBEW 1439. He had a great passion/love for his garden. His flowers were beautiful and he enjoyed sharing his hard-earned fruits and vegetables with those he loved. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials to any charitable Veteran’s organization appreciated.
I met Bud in 2010 when I joined a bowling league at Sunset Lanes. I always thought he was a nice guy when I bowled against him but didn’t get to know him until later on after I had stopped bowling. Bud and Jan became regulars at my store (Dollar General) and from there they became some of my favorite customers until I left in 2024. Bud always came in and called me “kiddo” and we would talk about his garden and flowers and we would talk about the grandkids and he would ask about my son. He always brightened my day.
Bud will be greatly missed.
