Yahl, Donald Joseph (March 14, 1927 – May 23, 2024)

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the age of 97. He is survived by his wife Else “Dannie”  Yahl (nee Daniels), children; Linda (David) Paul, Larry (Jessica) Yahl, Nancy (David) Caito, Betty (Kevin) Born and Joyce Yahl, and siblings; Leo Yahl and Mildred Yahl.  Dear Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Father-In-Law, Brother, Brother-In-Law, Uncle and Friend.

Donald was preceded in death by his late parents Margaret (nee Polys) and Lawrence Yahl, the love of his life Helen Yahl (nee Van Rie), sons; Joseph Yahl and James Yahl, daughters; Mary Wagstaff, Pat Ferris, Peg Williams and Susan Chamberlain, brothers; Walter Yahl, Maurice Yahl, Lloyd Yahl and Butch Yahl and grand daughters; Heidi Williams and Sherri Ferris.

After serving in the United States Coast Guard, Donald went on to work for Anheuser Busch where he worked for 42 years. A family man who loved his children and an outdoorsman who enjoyed going to his farm and riding his Ford tractor.

Services: Visitation: Tuesday, May 28th, 4pm to 8pm at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd. St. Louis, Mo. 63123; Service: Wednesday, May 29th at Assumption Catholic Church, 4725 Mattis Rd. St. Louis, Mo. 63128 for 10am Mass. Interment immediately after at Sunset Memorial Park.
