   Young, Gerald E. “Butch” Saturday February 25, 2023. Beloved husband of Thy U. Young (nee Chu). Dear father of Victoria Young, Ryan (Kathleen) Young and Atari Young. Dear son of Gerald and Frances Young. Dear brother of Stella Young. Former husband of Sherry King. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, nephew, great nephew, cousin and friend.

Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Friday March 3 at 9:30 am. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Butch served in the U.S. Navy during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project appreciated. Visitation Thursday 4-8 pm.

  3. Sending condolences to the family of Butch. Although we have not seen each other for many years, I can remember so many fond memories as we attended many classes and graduated together from Cleveland Junior Naval Academy. Sail the high skies JROTC Commander!

  9. I’m very saddened to hear of Butch’s passing. I worked with him for a few years. We bonded over our appreciation of good music and movies. He was an unusual personality, but always funny and kind. My deepest condolences to his wife, his children and his entire extended family.
