Dorothy “Dottie” Marty went home to Jesus on Friday September 25, 2026 at the age of 84. She was born to the late Leonard and Anna Mueller on February 20, 1942, in St. Louis. Dottie was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Arnold, Missouri, where she was baptized, confirmed, married, taught Sunday School, served as Altar Guild chair, welcomed others as a greeter, and volunteered in many other ways. In 1961, she married her husband, Wayne, and they shared more than 65 happy years together. A member of Fox High School’s first graduating class in 1959, Dottie worked as an accountant for the Fox C-6 School District for 31 years, forming many lasting friendships. She and Wayne shared a love of antique cars, and she served as secretary of several car clubs while traveling with fellow members to many states. Throughout her life, Dottie held an unwavering faith in God and shared it with those around her. She joins her parents and her brother Donald (Susan) Mueller in Heaven. She is survived by her sister, Grace (Steve) Hughey; brothers David (Sue), Richard (Lorraine), and Paul Mueller; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be on Thursday October 1st from 4-8PM at St. John Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, MO 63010. The funeral service will also be held at St. John Lutheran Church on Friday October 2nd with visitation from 10AM until service at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. John Lutheran Church. Arrangements provided by Kutis South County Chapel.
