Meyer, George E.

Beloved husband of Judith Meyer; loving father of  Kim Schneider (Steve) and Vicki Meyer; adoring grandfather of Tabitha Schuerman, Samantha Miller, Jessica Karandjeff (Danny), Alyssa Roth (Nathan) and Madeline Miller;  cherished great grandfather of Domonik, Joey, Maci and Wyatt. Our dearest relative and friend of many.

  George is a Veteran of the Army and an AOPA member and 50 year member of Gardenville Masonic lodge. He founded Telescan in 1976, George was a pioneer who helped pave the way for much of the evolving automation that keeps the telecommunications industry vibrant .

George was a resident of Affton, Missouri working in his mother’s restaurant and graduating from Affton high school 1953. He joined the Army and served as a radio engineer. George met Judy at a TV station and was married March 1963 . Vicki and Kim soon came to complete the family. George founded two local telecommunication companies, Telescan Corporation and AnsaRing Service. He was an entrepreneur and pioneer in the telecommunications industry. He was also a 50 year member of the Gardenville Masonic Lodge and the AOPA, flying his airplanes and helicopter was a lifelong passion. George was a pilot since he was in his 20s.  In 1984 George became “Papa” for five granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. He was always “Papa”. George’s memory will last long in the hearts and minds of everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed and cherished as we honor him to say goodbye and bless his final resting place.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL 10151 Gravois Friday, November 8, 4:00-8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9, from 10:30 AM until service at 11:30 AM.  Interment Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Cardinal Glennon or Kirkwood Road Christian Church appreciated.
