Craig Edward Ernst, 73, of Imperial, Missouri, died on November 20, 2019. Born June 9, 1946, in St. Louis, he was preceded in death by his parents Edward Ernst and Violet (Freshwater) Kolar, sister Joyce (Bill) Reichardt, and nephew Jim Reichardt.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Lanzarini), son Craig Jr., and daughter Cynthia. He was blessed with five grandsons: Nickolas (Brandi) Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Kyle Ernst, and Noah Ernst. He also had two great-grandsons: Lucas Johnson and Hayden McCoy. He was a cherished brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many.
He enjoyed an active retirement of traveling and fishing. Boating and standing on the dock at the lake fishing with family and friends were his biggest pleasures.
His faith and family provided a moral compass that he followed his whole life. A great man is gone.
