Mueller, Charles Joseph

On Saturday, July 16, 2022, Charles Joseph Mueller (79), was summoned Home. Charles was born March 8, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to loving parents, the late Charles and Evelynn (Fels) Mueller. Charles was the youngest of his siblings. A brother & brother in law to Charlyn (Donald) Ortmann and Janet (Kenneth) Courtney, who proceeded him in death. Charles loved his family as a Brother, Cousin, Brother In Law, Uncle, Great Uncle and even Great Great Great Uncle.
Charles married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Patricia (Gamewell) Mueller on February 1, 1964. He voluntarily joined the Army in 1966, serving in Alaska and Arizona until 1969. Once his service was over, Charles and Patricia came back to St. Louis to be with family and friends. Charles worked as a barber, worked briefly at Falstaff Brewery before starting his career at Laclede Gas, where he was a Leak Forman until he retired October 1, 2003. He was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and long time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Imperial. Charles loved the outdoors (fishing, hunting, boating, camping, etc.) and enjoyed traveling the world Patricia and their friends, noting that Ireland and Hawaii were favorite destinations.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:30am on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial, Missouri.
