In Loving Memory

Allen, Ruth Ann

Ruth Ann Allen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She made her journey to heaven on October 26, 2022.  She was 81 years old.

Ruth was born to Richard and Maggie Tipton on February 20, 1941, in Malden, MO.  Ruth Ann grew up in Malden, along with her 11 brothers and sisters.  She then moved to St. Louis with her husband, Ralph Allen.  Together they built a beautiful life with their 3 children, Keith (Linda) Allen, Terri Beaven, and Misti (Jeff) Kauffman.

Ruth worked the overnight shift at Mallinckrodt for 38 years, providing for her family.   After retiring, Ruth’s focus was spending as much time with her family as she could.  She enjoyed time with her grandchildren, Josh, Monique, Buster, Vance, and Logan.

She loved crocheting and made all of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, afghans.  Those afghans will be cherished for years to come.

Most recently in Ruth’s life she spent time with her great grandchildren.  Jerimiah, Myles, Roman, and Brady all loved their great grandmother dearly.

Ruth was the last of the 12 children born to Richard and Maggie and was considered the matriarch of this close family.

She will be remembered with love by all who knew her.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Nick from Mercy Hospice for taking great care of their mom.

Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Friday November 4, 9:30 am until service at 11:30 am. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

  5. Thank you for being my childhood home away from home, Ruth. Life would have been a lot less wholesome, lively, and 100% lacking homemade meals if you hadn’t allowed my crash every dinner to take a place at your table. You will be so greatly missed… I pray for the immense loss and sorrow all those you loved are surely feeling, and hope you are resting in peace.
