Richard J. “Rich” Bahan  Wednesday, March 11, 2026.  Dearest husband of Kathy Bahan (nee: Scalise); dear father of Annette (Chris) Chambers; dear grandpa of Joseph and Alyssa Chambers; dear son of the late John and Esther Bahan; dear brother of Joette (the late Wally) Lipic, Jaqueline Bahan Gallino and the late John (survived Marge) Bahan and the late Sandra (Don) Bahan Chilton; dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Master Sergeant Richard J. Bahan distinguished himself by meritorious service as Instructor Flight Engineer C-130E, 50th Airlift Squadron, 314th Operations Group, 314th Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas.  As the 50th Airlift Squadron and 314th Airlift Wing Flight Safety Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, Sergeant Bahan greatly enhanced flight safety research through his precise investigation and thorough analysis of foreign object damage mishaps.  His ceaseless efforts ensured optimum safety and valuable insight; thereby, directly assisting the wing in achieving an unprecedented safety record of 382,000 mishap-free flying hours.  Rich served in the United States Air Force as a Flight Engineer for 24 years.

Services: Funeral procession will be leaving from Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd on Thursday, April 9, 11 a.m. to  Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for a 11:30 commital service with honors.

  1. Sorry I missed our last visit. Missed you by a week. Rich, thanks for all the memories from school. You kept us all entertained. Your will be deeply missed by so many.

  3. I’ll always remember the first time I met you. You were waxing and shining up your beautiful car in front of your Moms house on Devonshire. John introduced me and you and said “Hi Beautiful “ which is how you always greeted me. Then you told me to sit on your car which was impossible because it was so slick I slid right off. You thought that was so funny. “Hi Beautiful “ is exactly how you greeted me the last time I got to be with you for a little while . We will all miss you. You were loved! Sister in law Margie
