  1. To the Barta family, so sorry to learn of James passing. Thought he is gone, each one of you have memories that you can and will carry in your hearts. James isn’t far away, in fact he is closer now than ever before. Each of you have been blessed with his love and that can not ever be taken away. God bless each and everyone of you. In Christ, Joyce and Ed Newsom

  2. I was his docket clerk for many years at USBC…I adored him! He taught me a valuable life lesson that I still carry with me. I’ll share it….dont worry about making an honest mistake. 8. He was the best combination of kindness, courtesy and intelligence. He always completed himself as a gentleman and was faultlessly courteous to all that appeared before him, but especially the debtors and witnesses and lawyers who didn’t often appear. We will not see a Judge like him again.

  9. Dear Susan,
I just ran across this today. I am so sorry for your loss. Although I never met your husband it sounds as though he was a fine man. Condolences to your family as well.
