To the Barta family, so sorry to learn of James passing. Thought he is gone, each one of you have memories that you can and will carry in your hearts. James isn’t far away, in fact he is closer now than ever before. Each of you have been blessed with his love and that can not ever be taken away. God bless each and everyone of you. Knew Jim from law school and the FBI. He was a stand up guy. His contributions to his fellow man will be missed.
I was his docket clerk for many years at USBC…I adored him! He taught me a valuable life lesson that I still carry with me. I’ll share it….dont worry about making an honest mistake. There isn’t anything that can’t be fixed Deb. It was an honor and privilege to work with him. My condolences to his family.
Judge Bart’s was a great bankruptcy judge. He was always fair, and tolerant of everyone, including some extremely difficult people. He will be missed.
I only knew him when he was on the Bankruptcy bench but the man was very fair and tolerant. He was very helpful when needed and thoughtful in his decisions.
My condolences to the Barta family and prayers for Judge Barta. I worked for him at USBC for many years in IT, and he always shared his fairness, great sense of humor, and kindness. May God grant him peace.
Judge Barta was gifted in making you feel welcome. He truly embodied his role. He had the ability to help you shine, while providing guidance with ingenuity. I thank you. You will be missed. Thank you
My condolences to Susan Barta, his wife, his children and the entire Barta family. I worked for him for many years as Chief Deputy Clerk at USBC. A very kind person..
May God Grant him peace.
He was the best combination of kindness, courtesy and intelligence. He always completed himself as a gentleman and was faultlessly courteous to all that appeared before him, but especially the debtors and witnesses and lawyers who didn’t often appear. We will not see a Judge like him again.
Dear Susan,
I just ran across this today. I am so sorry for your loss. Although I never met your husband it sounds as though he was a fine man. Condolences to your family as well.
Hello Dale,
What a nice surprise to hear from you. Your thoughtful words are appreciated.
