Berger, Delores C. (nee Schmidt)

July 5, 1931 - August 23, 2025

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Donald Berger; devoted mother of  Pamela Neises, Donna (David) Lehmann, Theresa (Steven) Williams, Christine (William) Henderson, Cindy (Craig) Wright, and the late John Berger; adoring grandmother of Corinne (Brandon), Chase, Tina (Brandon), Kurt (Jessie), Stacey (Jeremy), Stephanie (Dan), Jacob (Jean), William “Billy” Jr., Kelsey (Tyler), Kalie, Shawn (Mary), Holly, Tara (Brian), and the late Matthew; cherished great grandmother of Kate, Madi, Colby, Mikah, Liam, Adeline, Harrison, TJ, and Emmett; our dearest aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Delores brought so much joy to her loving family and everyone she met throughout her life with her positive, happy spirit. She had numerous hobbies including gardening, crafting, drawing and painting, travel, shell collecting, and her greatest joy, performing with her button box. She was a longtime member of the St. Louis Button Club and in that time touched so many lives with her music. Her beautiful spirit lives on in all of the lives she touched especially her loving family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the Nazareth Living Center (#2 Nazareth Ln., 63129) are greatly appreciated. The family would like to show their gratitude for all the love and care they showed Delores.

SERVICES: Visitation will be at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Wednesday, August 27th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.

Funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary (4092 Blow St., 63116) on Thursday, August 28th, at 10:00 AM . Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

  2. Your mom was always smiling, whenever I saw her!! She always asked about my mom, and thought very highly of her! When they were young, she, my mom, and some other ladies, in the neighborhood, would play cards, once a month, and they were very close! She also lost a cbild, her only son, and I admired her strenghth and faith!! She was an awesome, lady😁

  3. I send my love to all the family. I loved Delores; my heart is broken. We spent a lot of time together at weddings, graduations, showers, baptisms, birthdays, and so much more. She was always fun to be around. She will be missed. Rest in peace my dear friend.
