In Loving Memory

Bergeson, Dr. Dale

March 10, 1941 - May 15, 2025

Dr. Dale Bergeson of St. Louis, MO, died on May 15, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He is survived by his wife Sally Bergeson; his children Matthew Bergeson and spouse Jean Bergeson of Palm Harbor, FL, Holly Cunningham and spouse Guy Cunningham of St. Louis, MO; his granddaughters Tessa Bergeson, May Bergeson, Isabel Cunningham and Genevieve Cunningham.

He grew up in Oregon with his parents and two older sisters, Sheri and Carol. He graduated from Junction City High School in Oregon, where he was honored in their Sports Hall of Fame. Later in college, he set several swimming records at the University of Oregon. He graduated with a pre-dental degree, attended Dental School at Washington University, was married before his senior year, then went into the Navy as a dentist in 1968. He opened up a practice in St. Louis Missouri in Webster Groves, where he practiced for over 30 years. Dale was President of the St. Louis Dental Association. He also volunteered for Feed My People, and took several mission trips to Mexico and Kosovo with Service International to provide much needed dental care. Dale loved fishing, golf, and painting on occasion.  He also loved to tagteam with his wife Sally to care for his 4 granddaughters when needed.  Their favorite thing was swimming with their Pawpaw.  The family is so grateful for the exceptional care he has received during his 2 years with Family Partner Homes in St. Louis.

A Celebration of Life to honor Dale will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, 1pm at LIFE CHURCH STL 1416 Larkin Williams Road Fenton, MO 63026.
