Fortified with Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, Wednesday June 4, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Bertani, cherished mother of Angela (Stephen) Kalinowski, treasured grandmother of Christian (Jessica), Matthew (Karly Ringstad), Grace (Nick Duren) Kalinowski, and great-grandmother of Vienna Grace, whom she missed meeting by six days, but will forever be her guardian angel. Loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many.
Stella rarely met a stranger, and those she met were not strangers for long. She was upbeat, generous, loving, and an engaging storyteller with a quick wit who was funny even when it was unintentional. Throughout her life, she remained devoted to her faith, family, the St. Louis Cardinals (even after last season!), and to her beloved Hill neighborhood where she was born, raised, and met the love of her life, Bob Bertani.
Services: Visitation at St. Ambrose Catholic Church (5130 Wilson Ave. 63110) Friday June 20, 8:45 AM until funeral mass at 9:30 AM. Interment JB National Cemetery.
