  1. John and I were best friends at St. Bernadette, especially in the early years there. I lived on Telegraph then and I would ride my bike to John’s house which was just up the street from school. After St. Bernadette, John went to Vianney and I went to Dubourg and we went our separate ways in life. I would occasionally see him at St. Martin of Tours school picnic on Memorial Day and we would catch up some. This spring I heard that John was in the hospital/assisted living and started talking with Tom Wendel again. I did get to see John a few times over the summer and was thankful for that. I also had the opportunity to reacquaint with John’s Dad, Hank and his brother Tom.

  3. May he rest in peace. John and I knew each other from our 6th grade year at St. Bernadette’s school. I had moved there from Kirkwood and John was one of the first to befriend me. We stayed friends and I had the privilege of having John and his mother attend my ordination to the priesthood in Sacramento, California. We were able to visit each other a couple of times since then through our mutual friendship with Tom Wendel. I was able to visit briefly with John in June and to assure him of my friendship and prayers and of God’s love for him. My condolences to his family and please know of my continued prayers for his eternal rest. God bless.
