Buchholz

In Loving Memory

Buchholz, Jo Ann K.

October 13, 1947 - April 20, 2025

Jo Ann Buchholz, 77, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025.

Beloved wife of Joseph R. Buchholz; loving mother of Lisa (Chris) Saucier and Erik Buchholz; cherished grandmother of Izabella Saucier; dear sister of James (the late Sophia) Schweitzer.

Jo Ann began her professional life as a teacher, a role that reflected her patient and nurturing spirit. She later chose to devote herself full-time to raising her children, creating a loving home filled with care, warmth, and laughter.

She had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures with family and friends—shopping, dining out, browsing antique shops, frequenting movies, and reading. More than anything, Jo Ann cherished time with her family. She shared a special bond with her granddaughter, often taking her shopping, out for ice cream, and working on craft projects together. These moments of creativity and love were a testament to the joy they brought to each other’s lives.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, quick wit, and the comfort she brought to those around her.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., on Thursday, May 1st, from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Services conclude at Funeral Home.

  1. My husband and I were so saddened to hear about Jo Ann’s passing. We have known Erik for several years now and he introduced us to Jo Ann at the San Diego Botanical Garden’s Christmas light walk. She was so enjoying being with Erik and the beauty of the lights and gardens. It was clear how much her warmth and joy in living was shared with Erik. I know he–and the whole family–will miss her terribly.
