Carlson, Louis J.

October 3, 1929 - April 14, 2025

Louis Carlson, age 95 of St. Louis, MO passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025.  He was born October 3, 1929, in Gillespie, IL, to the late George and Maude Carlson.

Louis is survived by his wife of 64 years, Judith (Colombo) Carlson, daughter Lynn (Robert) Scearce, and grandson Cal Scearce, sisters-in-law Joann Hylla and Rosemary Diel. Louis was preceded in death by his daughters, Maureen and Karen Carlson, his siblings Frances Schroeder, Joyce Prenzel, and George Carlson.

Louis served in the U. S. Air Force from 1951-1955.  He loved spending winter months in Sarasota, FL. with Judy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation are greatly appreciated.

SERVICES: Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26 with visitation at 9:00AM at Our Lady of Providence (8866 Pardee Rd., 63123) and Mass following at 10:00AM.  Louis will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.

  1. Judy, I am so sorry to hear of your husband passing. 64 years is a long time and I am sure you are missing him. My prayers are for both of you.
    My grandson First Communion is that day so I am sorry I cannot attend but my prayers are being said.
