In Loving Memory

Casagrande, Yolande “Sandy” (nee White)

December 6, 1940 - March 11, 2026

Sandy Casagrande (nee White) Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Ronald C. Casagrande; loving mother of Ronald (Lori), Terri, James, Todd (Garen), Kara, Trina, Christina, Jeffery (Leta) and Charles (Elizabeth) Casagrande; cherished grandmother of Krista, Jena, Mia, Taylor, Cody, Nikki, Hannah, Jamie, Katie, Mitchell, Austin, Ally, Maggie and Trina; great-grandmother of Cooper, Quinn, Finn and Tristan; treasured daughter of the late James and Dorothy White and sister of the late Joann White; Cherished friend of Neil and Jean Scott; Our dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Sandy grew up in St. Louis, attended Rosati Kain High School, and married the love of her life Ron. After a short time in Champaign, IL, they settled in Florissant to build their family. Sandy was the proud mother of nine children, and her family was always the center of her world. Her home was filled with laughter, creativity, and the constant activity that comes with raising a large family.

A creative soul, she expressed herself through the arts and encouraged those around her to do the same. Whether through crafts, decorating, sewing, or simply the way she made everyday life beautiful, her creativity was felt by everyone who knew her.

She loved sports and enjoyed cheering from the sidelines, especially when it meant supporting her children and grandchildren. Few things made her happier than spending time with her growing family of grandkids, whose lives were brighter because of her love and attention. She also enjoyed watching the Chiefs, Cardinals, Blues, and St. Louis City teams.

Her heart for service was evident throughout her life. She was very active in Our Lady of Fatima parish, Florissant Area Khoury league, and volunteer coaching. She spent several years working as a bus driver for Special School District safely transporting countless children and greeting them each day with kindness and a smile. Later in life, she thoroughly enjoyed working at the YMCA and making connections with those she helped and worked with.

Above all, she will be remembered for her devotion to family, her generous spirit, and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy lives on in the nine children she raised, the grandchildren she adored, and the many lives she touched along the way.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

  2. To the whole Casagrande Family:
Our deepest sympathy to you all. We have such fond memories of your mom in the neighborhood, growing up, swimming at your house, all the softball and soccer games etc! She was an amazing lady we truly valued and appreciated. What a gem and wonderful legacy she leaves behind. May God comfort you all in your grief.

  3. Sandy was always busy with her large family. She was tall and slender, never showing any “extra weight” gain after her children were born.

I remember Sandy, Ron and Children when we too were members of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and School. She was very active in the Mother’s Club and I recall when Father Meyer said that he could always count on a busy Mom to “get the job done” ! There were several Mom’s with large families that were gifted and shared their efforts for any given project. My condolenses to the children, etc.
