Comer, Jerry

In Loving Memory

Comer, Jerry R.

November 24, 1938 - July 19, 2025

Jerry R. Comer, 86, of St. Louis, MO passed away on July 19, 2025. Born on November 24,1938, he was a devoted husband to Lavonda Comer (deceased).  Loving father and survived by his children Terry Comer, Karen (Greg) Rhodes, Sharon (Rick) Schmitt and Tracey (Missy) Comer and 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Jerry enjoyed playing golf, traveling, John Wayne movies and reading the newspaper.

As a member of the Masonic Temple, he liked being involved with community and the members.

Jerry entered the military at a young age and when he returned, he worked as an IBEW electrician and for Defense Mapping. He enjoyed his career and made several lifelong friends while he was employed.

Jerry liked spending time with his wife Lavonda along with his family and never missed a “good dessert” at the party.

His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as extended friends and family members will miss him dearly.

We find comfort in knowing that Dad’s legacy will live on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.

SERVICES:  Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Road Affton, Missouri 63123) on Tuesday, July 29, 9:30 a.m. until funeral service at 10:30 a.m.  Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
