Age 69, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Patricia Eileen Coppinger (née Harbaugh) was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Stephen and Eileen Harbaugh and was welcomed into eternal life after a lifetime of faith, family, and service to others.
A proud sister, Pat deeply loved her family and cherished her siblings: Steve (Glenda) Harbaugh, Mark Harbaugh, the late Kathleen Fitzgerald, and the late Daniel (Kelly) Harbaugh. She was a devoted mother to Laura and Kevin (Kara) Coppinger and loved being a grandmother to Mae, Elsie, and John. Pat was an incredibly special aunt, sister-in-law, cousin and friend to many.
Pat was a graduate of Cor Jesu Academy, later earning her degree from Webster University and dedicating 30 years to her teaching career. Her lessons, however, reached far beyond the classroom. Through her warmth, kindness, and example, she taught others the value of faith, generosity, and joy in simple things.
She found God in the everyday moments —attending morning Mass, planting and caring for flowers at St. Raphael, baking cookies or preparing meals for family and friends, volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, sharing laughter with her “gal pals,” carrying on beloved family traditions, enjoying the beach, and caring for every dog that crossed her path.
Pat’s life was a reflection of her faith—a quiet, steady love rooted in service and joy. Her family finds comfort knowing she is now reunited in heaven with her parents and siblings and that she has found the peace and happiness she longed for in the presence of our Lord.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her honor to the Dan Harbaugh Endowment at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of St Louis or St Raphael the Archangel Parish.
SERVICES: We invite you to join us in celebrating Pat’s life at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church (6047 Bishops Place, 63109) on Saturday, November 8, 9:30 AM visitation until 10:00 AM Mass. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Patty was such a wonderful friend to my mom and a constant, comforting presence as I grew up. I will miss her deeply and will always hold her close in my heart.
Pat and I taught special ed together at Sperreng Middle School in the mid 80’s, I impressed with her skill, dedication and generous spirit, which she carried into teaching ELA for many years. We were good friends, and it was evident that she adored her family. She always had a positive, kind demeanor and she touched countless lives, I’m sending sincere condolences to her family and to all who loved her at this saddest of times.
Pat was always friendly and professional. She will be missed.
